About Me

My name is Curtis Kelly and I am running for the TN Senate seat for District 12. I was born in Nashville and grew up in the quiet area of Cheatham County. My family moved to the LaVergne and Smyrna area where I attended High School at LaVergne High and graduated in 2013. Since then I have lived in Murfreesboro, Cookeville and now I reside in Clarkrange. I am attending Roane State Community College where I will be graduating in the summer of 2024 with an associate degree in Computer Science. I decided to run for office because I was tired of getting angry and watching our government continue to fail us. I want to help change TN blue so we can protect those who are at the highest risk. I want to give women full bodily autonomy and to help codeify abortion access. I want to change the stigma the right has created about the LGBTQIA+ community, I want everyone to feel safe to be themselves and love who they want. I want children to go to school to learn and have fun and not worry that they may not make it home. I want to boost Mental Healthcare in Tennessee so everyone can get the care they deserve. I also want to legalize Cannabis in Tennessee, we can use the money and funnel it back into our communities. With that, I want to release and expunge the records of nonviolent cannabis crimes. With your support, we can change TN for the better! Vote for me in November for the District 12 Senate seat!
